michsnowfreak
Neat pics of the snow! DTW down to 36F, a 52F drop from 3 days ago. I noticed frost on my car roof but not the grass when I woke up. Missed the record low by 4F today after missing the record high by 1F on the 13th!

Hoosier
39 degrees at ORD at noon on May 16. Other than northern MI/the UP, nobody else in the lower 48 has those kind of temps right now. FWIW, record low max is 44 in 1891.
Hoosier
Viewer submitted photo of the Pine Village funnel to WLFI in Lafayette. Can't see behind the trees obviously but at the very least it certainly extends a lot closer to the ground than your typical cold air funnel. Untitled.png Certainly impressive. Interestingly, the high 3 years ago almost to the day was 46 at ORD, on 5/15. However, it appears the anomalous cold was more localized that day. RFD had a high of 59.
