RU848789
Hate to ask an IMBY question, but I'm having major issues seeing the NWS river obs/forecast graphics - can anyone tell me what the forecast is for the Rahway River in the Union County area, especially Rahway. I work in Rahway and am curious if significant flooding is predicted for tomorrow morning's commute. Fortunately, the upgraded Route 1 no longer floods like it used to, but I imagine some local roads in RY could be under water by then. Thanks. NYC Weather Lover
The closest station to me is Mineola, NY and that is reporting 4.11". I was just watching WLNY news at 9pm and reporter Jessica Schneider was in Newark, NJ, and a car went right past her live and got stuck in the flood waters. The situation is really bad there. I'm so glad I don't live in New Jersey and have to deal with all the river flooding.
