With such steep low level lapse rates, any heavier cells could produce wind gusts in excess of 40 mph.

Could also see some isolated small hail reports with the low freezing level. But we'll see if we can

get the coverage of the HRRR since the NAM and GFS are drier. This will be a nice HRRR test to see

if it can beat NAM and GFS.

Moisture is limited. But the vort max is strong enough at least a few showers and t-storms.

thinking that me on LI may not see an 80 degree reading this may. sure where I am on LI may see a few 70 degree readings but overall not too enthusiastic about a warm spell this month.

Todays weather sucks. This entire spring is looking to be a cold one. I cant stand it.

Unfortunately models favor lots of backdoors for the foreseeable future. The troughiness northeast of us is no joke.

I just wish it was raining today. It's cold and windy and cloudy and a waste of miserable weather.

you still think this year will be only the second time in recorded history NYC doesn't reach 90 by July 15th ?
