And it's still more than Forky's prediction of < 0.25" I had thought it used Caldwell airport for my location, guess not. http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=07444

Stebo
Dude, this is the BS type of posting that repels the professionals, especially on this forum. Seriously you need to chill. Stebo was pretty much spot on. We got a little bit of rain (not even half an inch) with more to our south, big deal. Yep, .3-.4 isn't significant and the best amounts were south and west of the city. It certainly wasn't anything major, just some light rain that lasted several hours overnight.

IsentropicLift
Yeah south and west of the city, no reporting station in and adjacent to the city was over .4" most were around .3-.4" Why would I care about what occurred in the city? I don't live there. Also, do you know where Monmouth county is? You can practically throw a baseball to Staten Island.

IsentropicLift
This isnt your subforum, if you only want to discuss whats going to happen in your neighborhood, start a thread. I don't want that at all. I just have a problem when someone makes a blanket statement that the area only saw 0.3-0.4" amounts when that's simply just not the case. Some places west of the city saw closer to an inch and some places out in Suffolk County barely saw anything.
IsentropicLift
Anyone else see the Sandy type hook on the 12z GGEM day 8-10 Appears to be heading OTS with an organized tropical cyclone only to retrograde it back towards OBX due to capture by the mid-latitude trough. Yea, that is kind of annoying. Even if you enter the airport code into the search box (which I usually do) they sometimes don't even give you the current/historical conditions for that airport and instead provide the nearest PWS. Rjay
big deal, i was off by .15." you should have taken the bet. i won one with william a few years ago but felt badly afterward and didn't cash the check I'll bet with you anytime I truly think you are wrong. IsentropicLift
We'll have to watch for a possible MCS on Saturday night as severe parameters increase across the area. The NAM is hinting at this feature, mainly over NJ.
