NaoPos
As a question guys, where does this outbreak rank so far. I mean from a beginners outlook and a distant - lacking knowledge standpoint, would it be fair to say this is quite a widespread outbreak, of the likes that may be seen a couple of times per season, but won't go down as one of 'THEE' marquee outbreaks in US storm history? we're only about halfway through. No way to know. best guess is its up there. Wouldn't worry about that now.
Santa Clause
Looks like the Birmingham cell has weakened. That was TOO close of a call.

We've had a sizable number of large, very intense tornadoes today and a number of very damaging ones (in addition to yesterday). Let's see where we are after Wednesday. AgeeWx
I seriously think this thing is done, but then again there was the storm on near Lynchburg, TN that was pulling in nothing but rain-cooled inflow and it had a tornado on it.

It does look like the overall intensity of the storms are starting to wind down, although that's great for folks tonight, it's bad news for tomorrow afternoon. The faster this stuff clears out and dissipates, the more unstable we're all gonna be tomorrow.

Boogieman
To think we've got at least another day of this today... I did think that. Man, that Birmingham storm was about 532 on the ten scale of drama. I don't even want to imagine what three cycling tornadoes bouncing through the metro would have looked like come morning. I'm going to have to knock myself out to get to sleep.

To be fair the equivalent loops from the spc and NSSL WRF runs aren't quite quite as ominous for tomorrow. All three were gangbusters for today.
