EVOLVING ALONG A PRE-FRONTAL CONFLUENCE AXIS STRETCHING FROM N-CNTRL

MS TO W-CNTRL MS. ADDITIONAL CONVECTION SHOULD FORM FARTHER S WITH

DIURNAL HEATING...WITH ALL OF THIS ACTIVITY PROGRESSING EWD ACROSS

PARTS OF MS INTO WRN AL. WITH WARM/MOIST BOUNDARY-LAYER CONDITIONS

SUPPORTING MLCAPE AROUND 2000-2500 J/KG AMIDST 200-400 M2/S2 OF

With all these trees, ground tracking in this part of the country is nearly impossible. Need the news stations to get the copters up.

I don't think anyone in this area is experienced with copter chasing. Sounds like a good way to get a pilot killed.

That storm to the west of Canton MS seems to really be getting its act together (sorry if I'm behind, radar scope seems to be a bit slow today).  Structure is improving with each scan and while velocity scan's aren't overly impressive the storm seems to be rapidly strengthening and improving in structure.

  WESTERN ATTALA COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...

  SOUTHEASTERN HOLMES COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...

 

* UNTIL 330 PM CDT

 

* AT 231 PM CDT...A CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR MIDWAY...AND

  MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

 

  HAZARD...DAMAGING TORNADO AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

Unfortunately, MS isn't as used to this type of weather like OK and other plains states.  I wish more stations would be having live coverage.  I'm watching WLBT right now, and all they really have out in the field is a jerky, pixelated camera on the road.
