wkd
12Z ggem adds to the 200" of snow it has modeled for us this winter. This is for next Fri-Sat. GFS and Euro say no dice.
Harbourton
This looks pretty cold. 516 line near north jersey. http://mag.ncep.noaa.gov/Image.php?fhr=168ℑ=data%2Fgfs%2F12%2Fgfs_namer_168_500_vort_ht.gif&model=gfs&area=namer¶m=500_vort_ht&group=Model+Guidance&preselected_formatted_cycle_date=20150321+12+UTC&imageSize=M&ps=model
wkd
as of 12Z today the none of the models show a major event in the late Friday-Saturday time frame as did the ggem yesterday. However, they all show what I interpret as a beautiful H5 setup. It definitely bears watching.

JTA66
There are years where things start greening up towards the end of Feb. Here we are a week out from April and everything is still brown and dead. Every week I can push the mowing season back is a small victory in my book! Voyager
Every week I can push the mowing season back is a small victory in my book! Why does everyone hate mowing? At least you can mow on your schedule. Don't feel like doing it today? There's always tomorrow. Shoveling snow? Gotta do it right away before it freezes into an iceberg. No waiting to do it when you feel like doing it.

famartin
I enjoy shoveling and mowing as well, mainly due to the feeling that I'm bringing order to the universe, or at least my little corner of it

I am eagerly waiting for the bloom temps in the medium range. I enjoy the spring about as much as I enjoy snow. In other words, a lot! Meanwhile 2 out of 4 B's isn't bad? (from Sat. evening). Saturday-eve-March-21st-2015.jpg great shot. You still have pretty good snowcover. I agree there is nothing like steaks (deer steak too) over a real wood fire grill. I save hickory, cherry and any other fruit wood for such an occasion.

Yes, nice snow cover Kamu.... the wonders of a valley facing away from the sun.... we have zero left in my back yard here in Media... The snowcover has receded a fair amount since Saturday night, but we call that area the snow bowl for good reason :-). Tomorrow's spring rains will likely wash away the rest of it.
