I did something like this a couple of years ago, but lost all of the charts. So, I'll try again.

Season snowfall totals (July 1 to June 30) for all of the first order long term sites in the Midwest. I'm doing it one state at a time...for IL, IN, IA, KY, MI, MN, MO, OH, and WI. Up first, the great state of Illinois. Others soon to follow. I will update/or add the 2013-14 numbers for all when we're done.

Illinois Season Snowfall Totals

Chicago: 1884-85 to present

Moline: 1884-85 to present

Peoria: 1884-85 to present

Rockford: 1905-06 to present

Springfield: 1884-85 to present

Great info Tim!

On the Indiana tables, two things jump out:

- South Bend had 172" in 1977-78...way more than any other year! The next highest is 135.2" in 1981-12...and there were only 2 other years with 100" or more.

- Evansville only had 0.5" in 2011-12...yikes.

Scary how you don't have to go too far south of here to find seasons where that is possible.

Three parts to the Michigan season snowfall totals. First up is Detroit and Lansing, that both have the longest period of snow records of any site in the Lakes/Midwest.

Michigan Season Snowfall Totals - Part I

Detroit: 1880-81 to present (records before 1880-81 are unofficial)

Lansing: 1863-64 to present
