Jon
They went severe thunderstorm on it but the radar presentation is pretty classic for a tornado..... tor.gif tor pinetown.gif yeah, has a hook type feature and the rotation is pretty nice, where is the tor warning? they waiting until it's spotted or on the ground? lol
Hvward
Looks to be right on track to hit either Belhaven, NC or Pantego, NC with the SE pull as it strengthens.
downeastnc
It went right over my hunting club and I know lots of people down that way so if its producing I should hear something soon, that's perfect chase country down there too nothing but field from horizon to horizon. downeastnc
If the tornado was legit it went over a lot of homes on its way into Pantego basically right over the only populated part of the county out there, I know that area very well.
downeastnc
It has been confirmed on the ground by the local news, thankfully its over a large area of fields/megafarms need it to stay north of Leechville though there are maybe 10-15 homes right on 264 there at the bridge. Yeah that tail-end circulation I mentioned earlier has cut off into a new super cell. Looks to have some good spacing so I bet it continues to grow. downeastnc
The good news is there is absolutely nothing out there where it is right now, if it holds up though Manteo over to Nags Head could be in trouble hopefully the colder water and air will kill it. Confirmed injures a man and his son where in their truck and were tossed off the road into a field expected to ok but are being transported to hospital.
