Iceagewhereartthou
Mack, Reminder: a lot of the snow bust was because the Euro and its ensembles have a real clown for a clown! It never was a real prediction. It was make-believe. They count ZR, IP and SN all as SN. Unfortunately, the Euro clown was misused by many. The distribution of Euro clowns should be made illegal. But is was a real prediction. Every national and local weather station predicted the upstate to receive at least 6-12 inches. Many had us in the 8-12 inch range and a few even showed 8-14. Now I tend to be conservative with my expectations, but I was at least hoping for the 6. MBY got maybe 3, and that is being generous if I try to stretch and account for compaction, but I never measured 3. That one stung for sure, and it will take me awhile to get over that one, especially since so many others around me got pummeled. With this one though, I don't mind, I'll pass on the floods and tornadoes.
Crapper Jim
The local media outlets caught wind of the gulf thunderstorms robbing moisture phrase to cover their butts for all the blown forecasts for flooding and severe weather! Gulf convection robbing moisture, is the " polar vortex" of the spring season! Good Point.
