ravensrule
Flooding was never a threat. Remain calm. Your car did not slide onto train tracks. Where the Eskimos live it was 50" of snow so it is an avalanche threat.
smokeybandit
Got lucky IMBY, "only" 2.88" so far. It seemed low but jives with the accumulated radar projections.
Mrs.J
Currently sitting at 2.00" for the day. It has been rain free for about a hour now just light drizzle. There is however a cell to my SW in VA that if it keeps on the same tack will pass over here directly. Total for since Monday is 2.95"

Kay
It came on quick. When I left work alight jacket felt fine. By the time I was done taking pics around seven I was overheating. I just had this experience here. Wave o' warm and humid. I don't have a rain measurement. Seems like 4-5" looking around locally? Make it stop. Tidal flooding and regular flooding here. This is banter, but, I just got back from errands and took a road through farm fields. More frogs than I've ever seen in my life were leaping out of the drowned fields en masse into the road, no way to avoid squashing them, it was totally a scene from Hitchcock. Back home I hear frogs chorusing in a kind of loud, wailing, unusual way. Bad night to be a frog.

I'm just NE of you, and we've had 5.7" since midnight, and a little over 6.5" since yesterday morning. The rain looks to have stopped besides a shower or two from the stuff down by DC. needbiggerboat
As will the full month record daily max of 2.9 at IAD, from 4/20/08. Should end up between 4-5 inches for the day. If IAD can pick up .06ish from the patch to the SW over the next 45 minutes, should hit 4 inches for the day.

snowfan
Rock Creek compared to normal summer flow Untitled-2.jpg That's impressive. I'm near the little patuxent river in AA Co. and it was very high this morning. I'm sure the usual low lying areas were under water.
