CT Rain
Hype sells though. The RPM backed off at 00z though..lol. Go figure. I agree...I know we tried to mention mesoscale stuff yesterday..but this was a unique version of that. I never envisioned this intensifying like it did over the valley into Long Island. And also it peaked at 12z... models liked Berks/NW CT and much earlier than that.
Damage In Tolland
Why would they plow? That is already melting. No it isn't. Still below freezing and iced up
Ginx snewx
Plows just coming by now at 11:15 lol.Pants down sweet, wonder what L/E was in that band. I thought RAP HRRR did pretty damn good, additional QPF since yesterday morning of .4 to over an inch, approaching 6 inches in spots since Friday. Excellent modeling for QPF
NorthShoreWx
We had 3.5" here, most of it within an hour. We are into the watching clumps fall out of the trees phase now. 3" of greasy snow in an hour that hits unexpectedly during rush hour is bound to have an impact. ORH_wxman
Water folks don't understand hill climate They don't even plow in most of my towns I forecasted for until 2" falls. Regardless, it will easily melt off the roads in the next hour or so...sun angle this time of year does a number on the roads, even through overcast.
