CoastalWx
Growing season alive and well. These oaks are noticeably further along than others in the area, but I'll take it.
MainePhotog
For Kevin: Gorgeous! I bet the birds and other wildlife do not perish due to chemicals while eating insects/flora in this yard. Au natural!
S&P
For Kevin: the good news is twofold, soon enough you won't have to cut your lawn and you can harvest it (the purple flower) and eat it. http://firstways.com/2011/02/17/purple-dead-nettle-a-weed-good-to-eat/

Just throw a few 50# bags of bird seed in the pool, and watch 'em form up a conga line at the diving board. My bet is that you could sit back in a lawn chair with score cards and judge their dives....

What's the schedule in terms if grub control and fertilizer for the rest if the summer? Grub control/Merit doesn't go down until late June/Early July..then in early-mid August..do another shot of just straight fert to provide more greening thru the rest of summer into autumn.then do the Winterizer in later Oct or early Nov

Damage In Tolland
Is the grub control just an insecticide or does it have fertilizer too? It has a bit of fert..so it will provide some greening/nitrogen...but primarily for any grubs. I've seen people putting down grub control in April and may which is incorrect
