dropping the MDT risk may seem dumb given the recent ramp up in activity tornado wise, but considering it took until roughly 00Z for everything to get going, it might be a little too late for the tornadoes needed to justify a MDT risk. Northern Arkansas, and Northern Texas are really the only two areas that are worth focusing on ATTM, and N Ark just became interesting in the last half hour... Probably will see a few more hours of tornado potential given the Strengthening LLJ, and higher dew points, which will allow for instability to stay in place for some time, and increase LL Shear

that's what i meant...the DFW area didn't had alot of sunshine today but still had some serious storms fired up so why "cancelling" the warning for AR?

nice light show right now as storms moving east! we had some rain, but no pouring here in nrn Dallas County! But i have to admit, that it was quite suprising what happend few miles north..didn't expect such an impact on Denton!

Very intense hail at the core of the storm NE of Dallas. Echo Tops over 50K with CC showing great possibility of large hail embedded within the main core. Heads up NE Texas. Wow, what an active night. I saw this coming yesterday with all the ingredients coming together and the jet structure behind the system. Never thought it would explode like this though. This is crazy

I'm wondering what the city of Denton did to deserve the treatment tonight? it's been a while since an area like that got slammed that hard with multiple rounds of hail and wind, to my recollection.

this area is known for having alot of storms..maybe the DFW urban heat island plays a big role there!
