Looks like RFD surged ahead. Low-level winds just too weak to support balanced inflow and outflow. It may change in a couple of hours when the LLJ picks up but for now looks like the Denton cell will not tornado.

Yeah now spitting out an ugly bowed-out appendage too. It's kaput tornado wise.

definitely some strong storms with some decent rotation cycling through the storms. I would say definitely Waco to Hillsboro, Meridan, and even Waxahatchie will have to keep an eye on

especially the northern part looks quite good!

So far we have had 5 tornado watches today, and 1 tornado.

I bet we see at least EF0 from somewhere around Denton.  I was listening to the Denton Co. scanner and there was a report of 10 roofs gone from homes.  Sometimes those reports are overstated but still a serious 911 call nonetheless.

Low-level rotation tightening a bit on the Denton cell now near McKinney. However, the RFD is still awfully expansive and wet, so I doubt anything too significant comes of it.

New cell behind it intensifying rapidly and likely dropping sizable hail over the eastern portion of Denton now... lol.

Would not be shocked at all if a tornado threat develops with the line segment moving into STL.  Some sharp inflections in the line and apparent waves interacting with it.

Good call.
