From temperatures in the 80s a few days ago to now snow and sleet with temps in the mid 30s and dropping. We had at least one red tag here who said it wouldn't happen. Dobbs Ferry, NY SN 33.9/33 accumulation: coating Changeover occurred a little over an hour ago here in Southern Westchester. It's now snowing moderately to heavily with sleet mixing in from time. There's a coating on car tops and other colder surfaces, though not on the ground. Judging by radar, we might get 1-3" before all is said and done...heavy echoes (35+ dbz) are approaching from the west and look to train over Westchester for a while. Absolutely wild event for April 15th. The latest accumulating snow here in Dobbs Ferry since 1947 is 0.2" on 4/24/1967. Thus, very impressive to see legitimate wintry precipitation this late.
