REDMK6GLI
Their is more to weather than snow. Did someone make this thread so that everyone can turn it into a banter thread full of nothing but whining? Sounds like it! Fully agree with you we live in a climate where we get to experience almost anything severe weather related ( storms, snow, rain, extreme heat and cold etc. ). There is more exciting things than tracking a snow threat
MJO812
Hopefully this thing is outta here by 18z Monday I got a damn baseball game I spent 100$ for tickets on Met game? Sounds like it! REDMK6GLI
Met game? Tracking a rain storm is pretty boring. Tracking a nice warm during the spring especially the first one is exciting. After a long winter and a cold one at that the first legit warmup i am opening with open arms just as much as if it were a HECS
SnowGoose69
Met game? Tracking a rain storm is pretty boring. Yeah, and I'm sort of playing with fire too as I have a 8pm flight out of LGA right after, any sort of delay and I miss part of the game probably...I'd be surprised right now if its washed out but could definitely see it pushed back to 3 or 4pm if that low is slow pulling out. IsentropicLift
The window for snow in the Tri-State area is very small as compared to the window for rain. If you're going to be bitter and complain now about the rain, then you're nothing more than a snow weenie and not a true weather enthusiast. IsentropicLift
The 12z NAM is an inch of rain just through 00z Saturday. It closes off at H5 over the Ohio Valley. Bombs away Should get a few NAM runs with 3"+ out of this.

Maybe not as exciting as a blizzard but certainly more exciting than the inch or two of snow that people were wishing for yesterday.

I can throw a bucket of water outside my window and see water falling.

Having a weather station makes things a lot more interesting as you can measure all variables yourself but I don't believe a lot here have one. IsentropicLift
I can't wait for the mass exodus from this board from all the people that only care about snow. Then those of us that actually care about the weather can post without being trolled every other post.

You are the first person ever on this board to call me a troll lol. Now if we get something like this, this would be interesting. or this

How about trying to keep this thread on topic and discuss the specifics about the storm. I wasn't even the one that started this thread, but I don't support it becoming yet another banter thread. You dont get to cry about a thread going off topic after you soapboxed your way to a ridiculous point about liking certain kinds of weather. SnoSki14
Most on here like two things, snow and severe weather. The majority don't care about a run of the mill rainstorm unless it's a big time flooding storm with like 4"+ widespread. I like all sorts of weather ranging from extreme temperatures to rain to snow to tstorms, and beyond but everyone's different. These are the doldrums though because it's right after winter and before severe weather season. I jump to the storm2k board during hurricane season and check in here from time to time particularly during some sort of weather event like severe storms. REDMK6GLI
This storm is starting to look like a good ol' spring cut off LP soaker. Widespread rains would be pretty good as this would give us some room when we get into a dry spell. Rainstorms are important to keep the drought in check

IsentropicLift
Usually after the rainstorms we also get some decent warmups. We've been dry since the Valentine's Day storm. A wet period was inevitable given the MJO phase and with the NAO dropping. I'd rather go through it now and hopefully get a nice second half of Spring.
