And I shall call him, Mini-Blizzard...Muahahahaha!

Wasn't that like #4 for you this year, blizzard wise?  That's a pretty good stat if you ask me.

We were blizzard happy this year.  Add all four of this years blizzards together and I don't get close to 2005 in terms of accumulations. Cold + Wind = Blowing snow = lower vis = a couple of these blizzards.

I mean...  all of these places probably qualified as a blizzard...but....

The modest accumulations would be similar to what happens in some of the blizzards that occur in the Plains States.

True I just think it's going to cause a perception issue in the public if we keep having blizzard warnings for sub 6" events.

Plow cleared this lot about 20-25 minutes ago....not even covered back over yet.  Visibility is really low but mostly the snow has not been impressive on the mainland after early this morning.  If you look closely you can see the plows tire tracks heading towards the ramp from 45 minutes ago.

No, you have a Nantucket fetish. I haven't posted anything from Nantucket. The image you questioned was a mile or two east of the bridges on Rte 6

Roads are mainly fine, it's just some very light snow, blowing snow.

Easy tiger....yes I do have a fetish there. 80+ mph gusts is nothing to sneeze at.

I agree about the perception issue. Many even most probably associate a blizzard with large amounts of snow, in addition to the winds, even as snowfall amounts are not part of the technical definition.
