38 atm under cloudy skys really concern that temps maybe a issue here if the moisture doesn't start coming in.

 

That band should organize some before making it into the heart of the piedmont. Already showing signs near Hickory that the radar is trying to fill in.

Radar via RAH really starting to fill. :thumbsup:

 

I wouldn't be too shocked later that places like Raleigh go from a rain to mix over to flakes. 850s are supportive and should be enough dry air for them to evaporate-- temp drop. Only concern is 925mb still warm at the moment. But temps should fall aloft there some to support a changeover. The sub 32 layer is on the move with precip.

Here in Gray Court, SC (25 miles SE of Greenville) 39 degrees rain/tiny sleet mixture briefly as I parked my car at work. Pretty good time span of frozen precip this winter fom mid November to late March
