perfect sleeping camping weather, windows wide open, house about. 65, you sleep with the windows closed and the AC cranking I will pass

lol I love that...he'd rather it be 69/69 at night so he can sleep with the windows closed and AC on, rather than fresh air, windows open, and 50s cooling the house down after a warm day.

You're obsessed with comfy wx. You shouldn't live in New England.[/quote ]

It's the perfect place. We don't avg hot summers and winters are fine. Most would agree.

Winters are cold...not comfy. If it weren't for snow many onus would go. Summers are nice. Springs suck. San Diego is comfy all year. You can keep it.

I would agree... I say bring on the cold for snow, but if it's not snowing/winter, bring on the comfy weather for the other 6-7 months of the year.

Thank god we don't have summers like a lot of the nation does...from like Philly to Chicago and points south would be brutal in the summer.

Chicago summers aren't that bad, on average. ORD's JJA mean temps are fairly close to BOS. Granted it's probably more humid than most of SNE, but certainly not as hot as Philly or NYC or DC. Need to go further south and west in the Midwest for it to be really miserable...like St. Louis. That's hell on earth.

June average temps

Boston: 67.7º

Chicago: 68.9º

Hartford: 68.5º

Indianapolis: 72.0º

NYC: 71.4º

Philadelphia: 73.3º

St. Louis: 75.9º

Washington DC: 75.2º

Worcester: 65.0º

July Average temps

Boston: 73.4º

Chicago: 74.0º

Hartford: 73.6º

Indianapolis: 75.4º

NYC: 76.5º

Philadelphia: 78.1º

St. Louis: 80.0º

Washington DC: 79.8º

Worcester: 70.2º

August average temps

Boston: 72.1º

Chicago: 72.4º

Hartford: 71.9º

Indianapolis: 74.2º

NYC: 75.2º

Philadelphia: 76.6º

St. Louis: 78.6º

Washington DC: 78.1º

Worcester: 68.8º

My argument was San Diego wx for summer. I think most would take it.

Nice info...good to know. Looks like anything from Indy southward is an oven in the summer. I do agree, St Louis seems to be hell on earth in the summer...they just seem to be in the heart of most heatwaves. Stuff like a week of 96/74 type days.

Yeah, a sticky night ain't the greatest, but I would argue that the highs are a better indicator of how oppressive the summer heat is than the averages are.

No way Boston has a higher avg high temp in August than Hartford. Are they 65 at night instead of 62? I can buy that, the ocean moderates temps. But the average August high in Hartford is most definitely higher than Boston.

Yes and no. I really don't like warm/hot weather. But if it's going to be hot, make it rev/hype hot, with high dews and the threat of storms. Otherwise, 60º is warm enough. 80º every day would get old.

I like it 95/75...even though I work outside. I don't mind passing out from the heat. I just love getting real sweaty then taking a shower

heh...I tend to look at the lows for oppressiveness. 100F over the interior is tolerable with dews near 60F. 93F/76F you can cut with a knife.
