We'll you've had 60's in your forecast for the whole weekend.. So unless you consider 60's cold I'd consider it a mild weekend. Esp when we are looking rain / snow cold much of next week

Snow? What are you talking about?

Climo at BDL for the weekend is 42/65 - this weekend looks normal to below normal. If the GFS is right it could be pretty chilly. Definitely no mild look.

42/65 is a mild pattern..That's what this weekend looks like 62-67 and sunny..Shorts and short sleeves in the Pm..with a  long sleeve early in day/night.Just like what we've had most of the month..a beautiful weekend upcoming. as we're forced to toss the GFS again

OK... if below normal is still mild to you then OK.

There is a good chance it's not "beautiful"

The good old off-season semantics issues....he's now not using mild in a way relative to climo but just mild being anything over like 55 degrees. Although he often references mild and AN in the same sentence, they are mutually exclusive apparently. It can now be below normal and mild, haha.

Looks like a wonderful weekend for movies and a crackling fire in the fireplace, up here.

From GYX afternoon AFD

AFTER BRIEF RIDGING ALOFT ON FRIDAY... ANOTHER TROUGH MOVES OUT OF
THE GREAT LAKES FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. LIFT AHEAD
OF THE TROUGH WILL PROVIDE A CHANCE OF SHOWERS BEGINNING FRIDAY
NIGHT AND LASTING THROUGH SUNDAY AS THE TROUGH SLOWLY MOVES BY.
DEPENDING ON THE EVOLUTION OF SURFACE FEATURES AND THE
AVAILABILITY OF COLD AIR... CONDITIONS COULD BE COLD ENOUGH FOR
SOME SNOW PRIMARILY IN HIGHER ELEVATION AREAS.

Most folks look at temperatures as relative to climo norms...ie 60s would be seasonable. As averages rise, so do what folks think of when they hear a given term (mild, cool, etc).

Yeah...mild is all relative. BDL's norm for the weekend days is 65F. MEX guidance has 63F and 58F right now. The euro looks similar based on 2m temps.

Carverywx, Saturday does look like the chance for showers, but the EC op and ensemble are better than the GFS. Even the GFS ensemble wasn't as bad as the op...although still rather crappy. I'd plan on the chance for some showers, but also temps maybe near 55-60. First guess. Hopefully any shwrs are more with the fropa and instability driven. If that's the case, you may be on the drier side.
