Does that mean below average temps and above average precip?

Well if it is correct, probably. I just don't like the trough-ridge-trough look from W to E on the models across the CONUS. You can still have low heights and above normal temps with continental W-NW flow...but this has the look of some of the crappier patterns we can get in the Spring...esp in New England.

Looks like a beautiful , mild next 7 days inland with 60's and sun thru next Thursday. Not sure where all the cold talk is coming from, but the next week looks near to above avg with no rain. About as good as you can expect in April away from the water

As usual, you don't read.

Yeah the next 7 days look pretty solid... beyond that... could be a bit ugly.

Not sure what Kevin is talking about.

DT and all long range guys talking major pattern change to warm in US next 30 days but there seems to be an underlying theme in here of cold, or ugly and below normal after the next week. Seems to be odds don't favor that. I mean Will said he picked a good week to go to Hawaii but it looks like a splendid week. Maybe I'm misunderstanding

Not in our part of the country, especially after mid week next week. Not sure about after day 15..but it didn't look pretty here. The nation's heartland will bake.

Monday looks awesome!   850's in the +6C range, with a gentle SW flow around a retreating high... full sun.  Open the windows.

Not buying that D5+ Euro -- it stands to reason... the run just digs that pig trough out of almost no upstream input, and the model does this with horrific panache at times.  Hard to believe it is even mentioned...

Oh wait  -- because it involved an implication for snow.  ha

I'll put my money on Scott, Will and Ryan.

Already down to 42F.  Another cold night coming up.  Hopefully mosquitoes FTL.

Kevs boy DT thinks we are in El Nino pattern starting 4/20,CPC says 8-14 BN

All I know is it's April 17th and I'm still running the wood stove.  Had a nice break for a week/weekend but it's cold now. Looking forward to a little weekend warm up to finish garden prep and plant some cold tolerant veggies. Would love to hit Killington next week. lol

I'm with you on this one. Looks fine in the near-term. We can worry about days 7+ when they're not days 7+.
