Ginx snewx
Well, if we can't have leaves on the trees in the second half of April, we may as well have snow on them. 22.5/16 ironically on my way into work the rows of Forsynthias I watch which were yesterday faint buds were in full yellow glory this morning against a snow background. radarman
Looks like nearly 2" here, just a gorgeous scene. Impossible to understand how some folks hate this. edit- quick measurement showed a solid 2" even a bit more.
Ginx snewx
they were out plowing and sanding this morning for good reason. Did Dendrite see frozen?
ORH_wxman
Near an inch...maybe slightly less. A compromise between Euro and NAM/RPM seemed to win out...those latter two were too bullish on snow giving widespread 2-4" amounts but the Euro was too bearish. Taking that compromise normally works out well. We did struggle with boundary layer drying and the nam was def too bullish ok the cold surge. Baroclinic Zone
I-495 FTL. No less than 6 accidents from Bay Rd in Taunton to Rt 140 in Mansfield. Got the hell off I-495 at I-95 as it was still backed up going N on I-495 thru Foxboro/Wrentham. I guess people became dumb and forgot how to drive in this stuff. ORH_wxman
Nice Curious why the ADT advertising on your front lawn? To keep the burglars who were breaking into his whole neighborhood in Oct 2011 from doing it again.

Ginx snewx
You really have to ask that? Lol like burglars care, but I guess so, seems to me not telling them would be better. Man you live in a tough hood PF this is the surprise I was talking about last night Snow reports from NWS. Enosburg Falls: 8", Montgomery 6.3, Westford 5.8, S. Cambridge & Jeffersonville 5.5, Salisbury 5.4, S. #BTV 2.8.

CoastalWx
Seemed to be intensity driven around here. It didn't look like Milton to Boston had as much. When that last band moved through, it was flipping to massive flakes while still mixing with sleet.

CoastalWx
Honestly, 60% of this is sleet. Pretty good peltage around 4am.
Ginx snewx
I actually saw glaze on the hillsides in Griswold CT when the sun came up on my slippery ride in,that alone for April 15 on the CP is notable

tamarack
0.6" of 5:1 sleety snow. Two towns to my east (Norridgewock) reported 2.8". Down to 22 with a nice breeze this morning, should be teens tonight. Missed the stronger band but at least it whitened the tired-looking 9" snowpack. Only mino0r flooding, if any. Dodged the bullet for this melt-off season.
