powderfreak
We've got issues right now and it's still rising. This is what 6-23" of liquid equivalent on the mountain plus warm weather and up to an inch of rain does. I can't even imagine what would've happened if we got like 2-3" of rain. powderfreak
Yeah my parents said it changed to sleet and then snow about 20 minutes ago near ALB. Sleet is impressive, means the low level cold is just as impressive as aloft.
eduggs
The warm layer above 850mb cooled really quickly. Hill towns are already dusting up a little bit. At around 250ft asl we're at 35.2F. Right now precip is relatively light.

eduggs
It looks like we might actually whiten things around here. Hill towns can get snow deep into April, but the valleys usually resist wintry precip this time of year. The moisture down south looks healthy and it's heading NNE. If we can cool things around here, that bodes well for SNE.

eduggs
Roads are gonna be bad above 600ft or so. Helderbergs, Taconics, Berkshires, S Greens. Couple of inches of slush is going to catch people off guard. Late evening shoppers etc... We're already accumulating on the grass and the temp is approaching freezing at 250ft elevation.
