Yesterday was a taste and a warmer day could happen anytime, but I don't think April will be particularly generous with warm days compared to what we have been used to. No meteorological basis for me feeling that way (other than a cursory look at the Goofus 500 maps), mostly a feeling. Voyager Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Warm weather is fun if you can sit by the pool, take a leisurely stroll around a lake, sit back and shuck some oysters, etc. If you have work to do or even want to do more physically intensive outdoor recreation, the weather sucks much of the summer. Hopefully we average a couple degrees below average in JJA*. *unless the heat approaches historical levels, in which case bring it on by all means. extreme > mundane. Cold weather is fun if you ski on the slopes, skate around a lake, sit back and sip some hot cocoa, etc. If you don't take part in these activities,, the weather sucks much of the winter. Hopefully we average a couple degrees above average next DJF.... I'm anti-cold, it's very uncomfortable and there really isn't anything you can do in it around here, unlike summer.
