Blizzardo
Regardless of what is going on, ultimately the only thing almost all of us get will be a period of light snow that accumulates a dusting to an inch or so, with breezy conditions late tonight through tomorrow, with any snow melted by mid morning tmrw. IsentropicLift
Because the storm closes off faster the storm actually becomes vertically stacked faster and begins to fill as the storm passes east of the Cape. Spares Nova Scotia the worst of the winds.

yankeex777
4k Snow maps show 1-2" from Philly to Sandy Hook increasing as you move southeast. 4-6" for Cape May, Atlantic and southern Ocean Counties. A dusting for Central Long Island. 2-6" for Cape Cod, more as you move northeast. Eastern Maine and Nova Scotia gets pummeled. are 4k maps forbidden from posting or no? jm1220
Sticking with 90% chance of 0.5" or less at Central Park. For much of Long Island it's probably a 60% chance.

IsentropicLift
Haven't the hires models done an excellent job this winter? Not exactly, they are usually hit or miss, but this is supposed to be its good range. <24 hours out. Some will argue that the 4k NAM's only good range is hour 0. jm1220
And boy, won't it piss us off to see it die off from dry air just south of Long Island and be forced due east from there. Third time in a month isn't the charm this time.
friedmators
12Z only has the low 150 miles SSW from 6Z and 12mb deeper. I'd rather be Corzined than NAMed.
IsentropicLift
And boy, won't it piss us off to see it die off from dry air just south of Long Island and be forced due east from there. Third time in a month isn't the charm this time. It's not going to die off from dry air. The 500mb and 700mb lows close off to far east and the moisture filed is going to collapse back towards the center as it wraps up and heads ENE. LongBeachSurfFreak
anyone have a good site for forecasts and especially obs for Halifax? NOAA/NDBC really need to fix the broken buoys. The Long Island buoy 44025 has been broken for ever!
Capt. Adam
Gotta admire the tenacity... you're still giving lessons on the deck of the sinking Titanic. Just because this isn't a direct hit, this is still a very interesting storm to many that will be near...if not historic...in eventual deepness of the low for a non-tropical western Atlantic system. Sure, we will look back at the number of pages for what is in essence a "non-event" for the NYC metro area, but this is still an awesome display from Mother Nature and is worthy of all the discussion in the world sans bickering banter.
