Geos
Looks like a bow echo approaching the Milwaukee metro! Surprised there is no SWS out.
cyclone77
That line was wild and awesome! It snowed pretty good when the line first reached my house, but then an intense squall hit similar to the one back in January. Within a few seconds the visibility went to zero with very heavy snow and strong wind. I thought I heard a bit of thunder, but the strike was on the far north side of CR so people up there saw/heard it better. It was overall some of the heaviest snow I've seen in years. I ended up with 1.1-1.2" in only 20 minutes. Nice. Don't see 3" per hour rates very often.

Geos
Everyone must be asleep at the MKX office.. Heard reports of multiple accidents in and around Fond du Lac. Milwaukee is going to get slammed by the looks of it.
nwburbschaser
I'm interested to see if that thing holds together until it gets here. I'm all for some quick hitting moderate/heavy snow.
Migr17
I never post here but that was fun. Felt like I blinked and the grass was covered. Feels weird seeing white on the map during this, guess MKX is ready for spring.
cyclone77
Looks like the snow squall line is holding together so far. Should make it in here in the next hour. Just stepped outside and the stars are still out all over the sky. Dead calm as well. Would never know any weather of significance was on the way. cyclone77
Lol cycloneville cashing in during late March. Haha. Ma nature still owes us a heavy event, but this was a nice gesture. BTW uploading a vid now to youtube. Just caught the tail-end of the crashing thunder at the beginning of my vid. Damn Sony takes forever to start recording once you hit the record button unfortunately.
cyclone77
Here's the video from a short while ago. Unfortunately the vid cam took forever to start actually recording after I pushed the rec button, so I missed most of the thunder following the lightning flash. You can still hear a bit of it though at the very beginning of the vid. The thunder was cool, but the snowfall rates from this event were much more impressive IMO. cyclone77
^OMFG wow. I thought the vid degradation before was bad. The video above is complete **** compared to what was actually filmed. YT always degraded vid quality, but not this severely. I guess it goes to show you get what you pay for.

Powerball
So the radar blew up with the onset of daytime heating. Intense snow squall just blew through the city, and there looks to be plenty more upstream. Seems more like December than March, as these are clearly LES showers.
