Snow Bro Banter Thread

please.  No serious wx discussion in this thread.  We are only supposed to talk about how to make snowbromen, snobroangels and snowbroballs.

How does one make a snowman with a popped collar?

Haha, actually we're going to have discussions here so we don't bother you guys in the real threads. This is a place where people can post bad analysis without being annoying or yelled at.

That said, we do snow bro stuff too:

Check out Walter Crain ("walter-in-fallschurch on CWG) and his snow sculptures:

I modified the title a bit.  I'd just suggest people who don't want to be part of the thread go back to the other ones of their choice.. it's not hurting anyone.

Cool Ian I am fine with that. I could not see a way to change the title or sub-title once it was set. Thanks for your support!

This is so exciting being both a big fan of CWG and a fan of Americanwx's deep analysis but hoping for somewhere in between. Maybe if more knowledgeable people could try their best to have dumbed down explanations of complex concepts, since all I and many others can do is just look at snow totals and trends. Its very hard to make the jump from being able to understand everything in a CWG article to what is being discussed in the model disco here.

I'm right there with you.  And I'm excited to have a place to post where I don't have to fear being permanently banned for asking a "stupid" question.  I'm trying to learn!

Th way it always was around here was all were welcomed . Never understood the elitist attitudes but we are many we are strong. My morning view of a foot if snow.0320140738.jpg

I just took some trash out. Felt mild, yet damp. Felt a very light drizzle/mist going on. I'm very impressed how fast my beloved 8.5" of snow melted. Dang, even the piles I made in the shade melted. When shoving your driveway. Does anyone else here make snow piles in shaded areas just to see how long they will last? Or am I just a freak?

A person after my own heart. I do the exact same thing after each and every significant accumulation. It takes approximately 10 times longer to bring shovelfuls of snow to the designated drop zone, but oh so worth it. Our Mt. Erin Snow Bragh is hanging tough even after all the rain, above-freezing temps and high sun angle.

Eh, just what the MA forum needs, another clique (all cliques claim not to be cliques).

And can you really be "snow bros" here if that is tied to your identity within the cwg threads? Can you really do a lift and shift with your clique? Kind of like not being able to have license plates from two different states on your car.

They can be the CWG clique! With Ian as their leader! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

hardly jelly. I think its great that Ian has such a fan base. I was trying to make them feel special and welcome to our special little place on American. :)

It has nothing to do with me really.

You should move down here to experience real winter.

Is it going to last the day? I may have overestimated time till death based on our own little snow piles around here.. though they are dwindling fast now.

Don't sell yourself short Ian...you're a true bro.  Balancing CWG, Twitteritting, photography, this site, watching model runs like a hawk...and you still have time to converse with us.  Thanks!

I'd be the first to kick sand in your sandman face, but you're one of the good guys, unlike certain snowciopaths... :axe:

So kicking sand onto a sandman is the best threat you got? That's like giving beer to an Irishman.
