dendrite
The last 2 NAM runs have had a warm layer above H85 getting decently far north and easily turning me to sleet by 6Z. The RAP is pretty much snow until the heavy precip is outta here.

The RAP is pretty much snow until the heavy precip is outta here. Compared to our sounding is was a little warm, but not overly so. It even wants to taint up to Sunday River. I'm not sure that's really an issue until the precip is done up that way.

ORH_wxman
We laughed at the Nam......but Yeah like I said to Chris earlier...every now and then a blind squirrel finds a nut. But kudos to the NAM this time. It sniffed this out like 2 days ago when even the Euro was still going like 3-5/4-6 at most. Also another win for the RGEM...it showed this type of QPF ever since it could see this event (inside of 48 hours) and never waivered one run.
