sometimes radar is more linear...this isnt the type of trajectory where it starts 60-80 miles north of DC within 15 minutes of starting in DC...it will get there....you will do fine...probably better than me...get the kid ready for some pics ;)

Haha, thanks Matt. I'm good either way tho. 2" is my goal.

To clarify, is that good for snow?

Sfc temps are lower... stickage earlier.

It also might be that it is not the temps that are advecting but the dry air that is, and the precip is constantly trying to wet bulb a layer at the SFC that is constantly advecting drier air. This makes more sense than the advecting temp theory. Winds out of the NE and Philly's DP is at 9 this hour.

that's a pretty big dry spot in the national radar going through the Western Carolinas and Tennessee. I wonder if that will fill in

On the 6 p.m. news, WBAL's Tony Pann said there was a line of heavy thunderstorms moving across the Florida panhandle that were stealing a lot of the moisture coming out of the Gulf. Said the storm is spotty and that he thinks it won't produce as much as the models are showing.
