DaveNay
Just got home (4 miles south of DeKalb) and pretty much nothing going on here. The wife said there was some thunder while I was out and I drove through about 1/4 mile of 1/8" hail on the way home.

Geos
But I thought Geos was sick of snow period. Oh yea that's right I would have been ok with a little to get over the 80" hump. O well, by the way it's going it could come in April.
Hoosier
I'd take it in a heartbeat. :-) I just flipped through the hourly totals...it has snow rates of 4"+ per hour.
Chitown Storm
Mostly huge parachutes now. Some rain mixed in. If it stays mostly snow before the next heavier cell to the SW moves in, it could get interesting.
Geos
Getting some sprinkles at 36° currently.

snowstormcanuck
Not that it matters considering it initialized south/weak but the GFS came in drier/south with the track.

snowstormcanuck
Loving that large area of DRY, DRY, DRY to the west! ? Your snow will come from the area of pcpn over IL/IA/MO.
Powerball
Not that it matters considering it initialized south/weak but the GFS came in drier/south with the track. lol. I actually think its dry-ish snowfall amounts will be closer to accurate for many areas than the NAM's.
Boogieman
? Your snow will come from the area of pcpn over IL/IA/MO. Yes, I know, but at least it isn't doing anything right now. That much less to clean up.
snowstormcanuck
Yes, I know, but at least it isn't doing anything right now. That much less to clean up. lol, I thought it was sarcasm. Carry on.
snowstormcanuck
lol. I actually think its dry-ish snowfall amounts will be closer to accurate for many areas than the NAM's. SREFs have actually been handling the placement of the low best, even the drier NMM members. Obviously the mean snowfall numbers are inflated but at this juncture, I have no reason to be pessimistic. WestCoaster
Sucks to be Geos Nothing worse then being on the edge of no precip. I feel him there. Sounds like Toronto during quite a few systems this winter.

Hoosier
Temps continue the slow fall here now down to 43 after the high of 64. Looks like the changeover to all snow could hold off possibly until close to 6 AM unless we can get some localized cooling with heavy precip.
