chietanen
Im heading to Boston for the blizzard of 2015 if this verifies! It moves very little from hour 72 to 84 when the run ends, and at that point it's stalled about 75 miles east of the Cape. New England would likely get several feet if this verified. Juliancolton
Well I'll say this... if the NAM verifies, folks are gonna start looking at winter 2014-15 differently.
UlsterCountySnowZ
Well I'll say this... if the NAM verifies, folks are gonna start looking at winter 2014-15 differently. I'm absolutely praying to see a 50 mile shift west
IrishRob17
I just saw on Facebook that some guy from Rockland feels neglected by Upton when it comes to his snowfall reports, LOL!!
Juliancolton
I'm absolutely praying to see a 50 mile shift west I'm cautiously optimistic. I sure feel like a brat poring over model data while I still have snow in my hair from the current storm. Cool to see radar echoes continue to back-build over central Dutchess. Looks like a little residual mid-level frontogenesis.

hudsonvalley21
12z NAM for early next week... MGJ -- .58" SWF -- .72" POU -- .87" FWN -- .40" For KSWF 8.3" for the Monday event out to 84 hrs. White Gorilla
Very nervous. I do not want to be in the shaft again while just to the east gets clobbered. Happened too many times in recent years.
gravitylover
We got lucky with the timing of this one. About 10 or so while I was out shoveling it changed from flurries to mist/drizzle. Now it's 34 and misting and all of the critical surfaces are melting off. A little sand later and I'm ready for the Monday storm.

UlsterCountySnowZ
A foot plus for us all. if Euro is correct. Could it keep trending closer? I think it's close enough on this run to be honest... Most of lower Hudson valley and points South see 24"
Juliancolton
A foot plus for us all. if Euro is correct. Could it keep trending closer? Definitely, and I expect it to do so, but I would have absolutely no complaints with the 12z Euro solution.
NortheastPAWx
Guys, if the EURO goes any further west, you'll be building igloos. It was a nice run back here too.
chietanen
Verbatim the Euro is 2+ feet of new snow for just about all of us by the time Russell Wilson tells us he's going to Disney World next Sunday
HeinzGuy
Still don't quite believe it, the HV might have its big snowstorm repellant activated Sunday..although ECMWF went west like 75 miles in 1 run so the logical assumption is that it will continue to come more west i wouldnt doubt that
Juliancolton
That has to be the most wintry model run I've ever seen. A departing snowstorm at init, followed by the mother of all snowstorms, then two redeveloping clippers on 1/30 and 2/2, then obscenely cold temps at the end of the run. UlsterCountySnowZ
They're sayig convective feedback on the euro.... I call BS, not cause I want the solution but because all the players for this to happen are there, high pressure driving cold air, today's storm moving in and out faster, and an obvious trend on other models west as well, maybe the euro came TOO far yea but to toss it is redicuals, I rarely hear them say feedback issues especially for the euro
