looking at the radar and my current temp of 42F, his forecast looks to fall short.

DT has lost alot of credibility imop.Terrible forecast.

man, these kinds of posts add nothing.   someone doesn't lose credibility because of one bad forecast.  before you are saying he should retire.  are you perfect at what you do?   so the man was wrong, it happens to all of us.

What do you mean. I can't make a call out on a busted forecast.

Don't be so sensitive.

Seriously, I have no idea where he came up with that map.

Hovering at 32.6 degrees with rain. The yard is an absolute mess, even with the heavy rain it hasn't been warm enough to melt any of that concrete like snow that was there when the storm started, so there are lakes everywhere. As stated before, assuming we drop below freezing tonight, it's going to be a rough morning.

Rain has ended, still sitting at 32.4 degrees. Literally have been at about that same temperature since noon. My wife was in and out throughout the day, and actually encountered the worst conditions tonight around 7. Her car slid sideways down the hill on our road while she was heading to church. Needless to say, she turned around. Just took out the garbage and had to break out the spikes as my driveway is on a hill and is a complete skating rink. Poughkeepsie Journal reports 80+ accidents in Dutchess County today.

Looking ahead, the NAM gives us 2-4/3-5 type deal with the redeveloping clipper Wednesday into Thursday. Can we officially call it winter since we are now eagerly anticipating NAM model runs?

SREF mean, btw, has about 4" for both POU and MSV.

I had a good snow shower when I posted that and have the off and on flurries since. Luckily the park crew hit my access road with salt. I have an inch of ice in spots thanks to the run off from yesterday.

The shower's did not make it here to your east. That was nice for the park folks to do that. I'm sure that helps out big time.

Snow on my bday this weekend but what else is new lol...

I like where we stand as of now. Hopefully this seasons trend will come into play and further runs continue to bring it closer to the coast

We were worried about getting fringed 2/13-14 last year due to a tight precipitation gradient and an upstream kicker. We all remember how that turned out. Obviously no two storms are the same, but let's just see how the next few days unfold. Lots of time to trend either way. At least we have something to spice things up a bit on the forum!

Sorry, internet at work went down this afternoon. The ensembles also like the Tuesday storm as well. A bit closer to the BM, but a good signal nonetheless. Ensemble mean snow amounts on the weenie snow maps put our region in a great spot.

It's all good, I'm rather busy at work these days, I didn't have much time to look myself. Thanks for the details.
