9.7F, holding steady just under 10. If 850 mb temps were a bit more anomalous going into tonight, some spots could have made a run at 0F I think. You couldn't ask for much better radiational cooling conditions than a sfc high overhead and a fresh blanket of snow on the ground.

A balmy 13 here..  Overcast as well

I honestly cannot remember having a single digit low in November... Does anyone have any stats to the last time our area dropped that low in November.

Here is what I have for KMGJ, today is a record low, breaking the old record of 16 back in 1982. Here are the single digit lows:

11/17/80: 9

11/20/86: 9

11/24/89: 6

11/26/93: 9

11/30/95: 4

I didn't drop into the single digits last night, I ended up with a low around 10. However, some areas south of me in the southern Poconos, had a few lows around 5 and 6 degrees. I don't remember seeing single digit lows in Nov, at least not in a long time! Impressive chill for this time of the year certainly.

I took a ride early this morning, what a difference in snow pack with any change in elevation. Down along 209 around 300-400 feet, had a mere couple inches. Once you got well above 1,000 feet around here, there was a solid 8-10 inch snow pack still. I also forget to mention, I had more accumulating snow stack up early Thursday morning through Mid morning. So Wed-Thur total, was around 11.0 to 12.0 inches here. Damn good Nov storm. Including the storm a couple weeks back prior to this, I have 14.0" for the season so far. We're off to a great start!

Had 14 last night here. Wonder if we can hold the snowpack through the upcoming warm spell, NAM doesn't have temps getting above the low 40s on Sun and so far its temps are running a little high.

This snow has some good staying power. It'll probably be a bit spotty come Tuesday morning, but for how early in the year it is, we've already done quite well with snowpack retention. Hopefully it can die a dignified death before being mutilated by sloppy precip events and temps in the low 40s over the next 7 days.

Yeah, 12z nam is quite cool for tomorrow and Monday. It has upper 30's to around 40 here tomorrow, and low to mid 40's for Monday. Not bad, early last week potentially looked like low 50's for highs, nice to see it somewhat muted.

Serious melt today, anyone have any info regarding that mixed precip later this week? I havent checked models lately

ECM ENS show 1-2" for the area.

Overrunning event into a strong 1040mb Canadian high pressure, but the anticyclone is slipping east so the coast may start to warm on ENE/E winds. Everyone should eventually change to rain/drizzle as 850mb warms.

The RGEM seems to be hinting at some weak banding tomorrow night just before we switch to miscellaneous precip:

Albany's AFD:

AS FOR SNOWFALL AMTS...GENERALLY 1-2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN LOWER ELEVATIONS...AND
2-4 ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND UPPER HUDSON VALLEY...WITH THE
GREATEST TOTALS EXPECTED ACROSS THE SE ADIRONDACKS/CENTRAL AND
EASTERN MOHAWK VALLEY AND LAKE GEORGE REGION. NEEDLESS TO
SAY...CONFIDENCE LEVELS CONTINUE INCREASE THAT HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR LATE TUE NT INTO EARLY WED. WINTER WX
ADVISORIES WILL LIKELY BE ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF THE REGION LATER
TODAY OR TONIGHT IF CURRENT TRENDS SUGGESTING A WINTRY MIX
CONTINUE.

Upton is less enthusiastic:

THE EXCEPTION WILL BE WELL INLAND IN PLACES SUCH AS ORANGE...
W PASSAIC...PUTNAM AND N FAIRFIELD COUNTIES...WHERE COLD AIR
DAMMING IN THE WAKE OF A DEPARTING 1045 MB WILL LOCK IN SUB-
FREEZING AIR... WITH SNOW TRANSITIONING TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN.
THE PCPN EVENT SHOULD BE LIGHT...SO ATTM DO NOT EXPECT MUCH MORE
THAN AN UP TO AN INCH OF LIGHT SNOW INLAND...AND A LIGHT GLAZE OF
ICE IN THE AREAS WHERE FREEZING RAIN DOES OCCUR.
