itsdnice
You think these will be upped for the Sullivan area? I'm sitting under one of those 10-14 dots so i'm pretty pumped already but was wondering what others think considering how wet the NAM looks. snywx
Jackpot area looks to be within 15 miles either direction of FWN-SWF-POU up into NWCT. I would say 10-14" with higher amounts in banding & >1000'. Mix line probably gets to HPN for a bit. One thing I have learned is never ever underestimate mid level warming

With a start time in the morning and heaviest precip falling most of the day, can't beat that.. chietanen
Sounds like the euro is drier for the area Not terribly so. The 1" contour cuts diagonally through Dutchess and Orange from SW-NE at 12z. At 0z it cut more through Ulster and Sullivan.

96blizz
Kinda exactly the same as 0z. Definite banding signatures for the high terrain when looking at qpf output. I imagine someone tops 15" with this one in the HV.

Lots of knowledgeable posters mixed with banter that is actually somewhat entertaining and not so tense. Plus I feel that their climate is more representative of ours than the majority of the NYC posters who live on the coast or LI.
WintersGrasp
I should probably post here. Less bickering in this forum plus having discussion with people who are getting a lot of snow is basically the same as getting it, as long as I don't look out the window. So I'm expecting 10-14"

Its a shame the NYC forum can't have that level of entertaining banter that the NE forum has.. I guess it is a product of it being too big - It's tough to moderate that many people. I do like this sub-sub forum for the N and W burbs though - glad we have it.
