Hurricane Agnes
Where does this storm fall in terms of record keeping? For March 17th, I imagine this is a top 3 event and top 5 event for the entire month since 1893, in Cape May County. You all got jack-potted. It was almost like how Denver gets some of its heaviest snows in spring.

For March 17th, I imagine this is a top 3 event and top 5 event for the entire month since 1893, in Cape May County. Hard to answer. Having looked through many old records snowfall was often poorly estimated or ignored. The Climate>Local>NOWData(Mt. Holly website) shows the record March snowfall for Cape May 2NW as 7.3" on 3/17/1931(honest, 17th). My offical measurement for today will be 5.7". I know of an unoffical 8-9" measurement on the 3rd,1960. Offical data is missing. Cape May had 19.8" for March,1914, but no daily data is available. Way back in 1872 the Cape May Life Saving Station measured 28.6" for March including 17" on the 3rd. I have no idea for elsewhere in the county.
