Bob Chill
Pretty sure this one is coming back. Not saying I think snow is involved for us but looking @ h5 and ens guidance it's still a ripe period for some sort of storm. Might not be back on the ops today or even a couple days from now but I'd put money on it coming back in the med-short range.

Yeah, I think it's the usual have it-lose it-have it period on the models.
yoda
12z GFS would like to ask what storm are you talking about?
stormtracker
New wrinkle on the GFS..Cold press via PV drop...crushing.....no storm
stormtracker
And then at 204 a clipper like low that goes to our north as the high is leaving and bombs SNE. Fitting.
Ji
GFS has been DR no all year...and for the most part wrong. I dont think its shown us a single snowstorm this year in the long range

yoda
is this todays? Looks good http://weather.gc.ca/data/model_forecast/595_100.gif Yes, that is today's 12z GGEM run... interesting. Decent LP and nice H in Canada moving in tandem... Looks like 12z GGEM would suggest a chance at some snow/wintry precip at
stormtracker
Yup, GGEM would suggest game on, although taken literally we're a bit far north for the really good stuff, but at this range, it's a toss up.
mitchnick
Yup, GGEM would suggest game on, although taken literally we're a bit far north for the really good stuff, but at this range, it's a toss up. there's a 50/50 type Low in SE Canada creating some decent confluence but since the NAO looks far from optimal, I think it comes north over time with all other things equal

Ian
weird solution. my guess is it wouldn't be so strung out but who knows. i think a strong storm goes north either way.

Ji
i hate the 2 low crap and the high is definitely weeker than prior runs. We need a 1040 high
Heisy
It reminds mee of the big storm in Feb, sends moisture out ahead and then dumps as the 500 ULL comes N....IF the low didn't close off that far south it would of been better
Bob Chill
Pretty zany slp evolution. Some weird double low structure if you ask me. At least they both pass south of us.
