CoraopolisWx
2-4" and 4-8"??? I just don't see it, and I'm usually an optimistic person when it comes to snow. Most of that is probably upslope, they're taking into account for.
ChalkHillSnowNut
yea I doubt we see anything accumulating around here....altho in farmington this weekend I might see some ground cover!....looking forward to around 12/18-12/22 when we have a more wintry pattern with a more favorable EPO
Rdd9108
I will gladly pass on this threat if we can get some snow around or even on Christmas.
blackngoldrules
I don't think we ever really do well with this type of setup. We don't do well with most setups around here. Especially Allegheny County. Everything has to line up perfectly for us to get bombed. That's why we go years without seeing a major storm here while others to our east, west, north, etc. seem to do better. We'll see how this winter goes. We're definitely due. Rdd9108
According to our averages we are due for a 10+ storm.
north pgh
Well I made my trip to Johnstown today. What a bust. It was 44 and sunny driving home. I needed the sunglasses. So much for Winter Weather advisory. I'll take it though because I didn't want to drive in bad conditions anyway. This storm never had a chance. Winter for me doesn't really start until January so lets load up.

RitualOfTheTrout
Wow, that looks good. Definitly something to start watching a little more closely I think. I'd take half that to guarantee snow on the ground for Christmas. Well doubt that happens verbatim but atleast we get something to track.

CoraopolisWx
It would be nice to see the GFS and Euro, both show a decent storm, but for now at least the Euro is showing promise. A couple of days ago the GFS looked similar to the Euro with a strong system, but since then it's gone to a squashed OTS look. It'll be interesting to see what the CMC P-type maps, show this week.
