I just got back from my uncles funeral and decided to check the models after laying off of it for awhile. Well the Euro looks good for everyone but us. Once again south and central New England look to most likely to be the spot to be. a lot of time to change

i am assuming the earlier the better.

Oh yeah definetly.

Usually our best postion for the H5 is around E. Kentucky.

Unfortunatly that doesn't appear to be an option based on the models.

However if we can get that upper low to close off south of the delmarva, our chances off moisture being transported into our region are better.

Im surprised more people aren't talking about our snow chances. The euro and even the ensembles are west and 15 show a really good hit. The Gfs ensembles also agree with us possibly getting snow.

I dont see much potential for our area at this time.  Looks to just be a minor event for now.

Finished up studying and looked at the Euro. No way it happens but low retrogrades all the back to Philly sits there for 24 hrs and we get a decent thump.

NWS not buying the Euro though, its currently the western outlier even with its own ensembles. I've been keeping a causual eye on it but hard to get excited about a storm when you have to put all your eggs in the retrograde basket. It will be interesting to see if todays OP euro was onto something or not.

Long range starting to improve pattern wise around the 20th with a pretty typical nino look. Hopefully we can get a nice moisture laiden soutthern stream spine runner this winter. :snowing:
