There's actually a few flakes mixing in again.

Power is still out, but the generator has been fired up.

Just saw that, RAH seems to think that huge band is going to dump snow on someone.

SPC shows colder air at 850 being pulled in along the foothills. 850mb.gif?1394203777422

The sleet/snow chunks are relentless.

Temps are creeping up here as well 33. Alot of drippage off the roof.

System sliding by to the south. Now showing precip headed southbound west of clt to atl and north to the east of gso. As this migrates to the east, any chance we draw in more cold air aloft or are we purely relying on the LP to source the cold air from aloft?

The band so far seems to be too far east to produce snow..  At least from the reports I've seen, it's all ZR/IP.  I am right on the edge of it here and it's like 50/45/5 IP/ZR/SN.

Wake missed out on this one. I would have liked to have gotten some snow, but not the ice. Things soung bad just down the road in Durham, Orange, and Person counties with power outages and trees down.

Yep I am very thankful we didn't get that ice! Brother in Winston-Salem has had major issues with the power and trees. Has our business closed right now for lack of power.
