Snow map distribution looks 2-4" for the immediate NYC metro but amounts go up dramatically as you head north and west. I'd much rather take my chances with these dynamics. I would rather have nothing and sunshine than another 4-8" quick hitter.

NYC needs a few more inches to go into 2nd place ALL TIME.

You just want an inland bomb so that the coast gets rain, because you have a crazy obsession about the coast getting more snow then you.

While I agree with you, I personally feel we do have the mechanism, check out the confluence over SE Canada @ 144 hrs, if that was a bit faster the HP would be in a better spot. Even with such a wrapped up system it was a close call.

When I see those dynamics from Whiteface to Jay Peak , it doesn`t make me warm and fuzzy sitting here in NYC .

The same as an inland bomb will make in yours.

No, the Euro is too warm even for me. I don't care about a few inches of snow. I have an appreciation for weather.

I'm starting to think that I'm the only one here that truly appreciates all aspects of weather. Some of you are selfish.

Which is part of the American Weather Forums, is it not?

Youre more than welcome to discuss the far reaching effects in the appropriate place. Where you are posting now is the nyc area subforum, so for you to chastize people for being concerned only with this area is ridiculous.

You misunderstand. The bomb you hope for, because it "interests" you, is no less selfish than those you mock for rooting for snow, and in the end, it doesnt make any difference to any of us, so for you to respond to brian with that question literally makes no sense.

Me neither at this juncture and assuming this would be a correct outcome we're going to have to start seeing some better confluence/cold air up in SE canada available for this storm for an all snow event down to the coast ( which i think is highly unlikely anyway ) andddd right on cue the bickering has commenced

The NYC sub-forum covers areas well into Upstate NY and northeast PA does it not?

You act like all that matters is Manhattan, the other four boroughs, Westchester and Nassau Counties.

So let me get this straight. People are selfish for wanting weather in their backyard, but you arent selfish, because weather anywhere interests you. Which, of course, in the end makes no difference in your life, but you used that criteria to disagree with brian and call people selfish. Lol

What the hell is going on in here?

We have people here rooting for 4" in their backyard rather than what would equate to an historical storm for areas just our northwest. It's the middle of March after we've all had plenty of snow to go around. It's time to go big or go home.

WGAF who is rooting for what. Its not your concern. Calling someone selfish while youre doing literally the exact same thing is insane.
