hockeydude35
The 12Z Euro control and the 18Z GFS seem to be in some agreement for the Mar. 13/14 event, and the temps look pretty insane. -10/-15 gradients as the storm moves through...? Unless I'm misreading.
Bob Chill
I'm with PSU. It's a bit of a powder keg pattern. Our latitude will be a struggle unless all 8 cylinders fire. Euro ens are all over the place. Not much to discuss for a few days. Maybe this weekend has some more clarity. For now we'll get a ton of looks. I won't be riding the rollercoaster but it's an interesting period. Someone should score.
dallen7908
NAEFS continues to be unimpressed. Weak signal with likely temperatures above freezing. On the positive side, it continues to predict below normal temperatures for the period. Unfortunately, below-normal is now rain. On the positive side, there is a signal. No I think we will get another shot at cold air and a storm in the Mid Atlantic before its all said and done. It's been an abnormal season and I think it will take some time before we flip to 70s and bloom

needbiggerboat
Any potential event that has March 13 1993 as an analog can't happen, by definition....if that storm was the "storm of the century", not enough time has passed for the next eligible storm of the century. Amped
I actually thought it had a chance for a 1993 superstorm this run until it tucked that piece of energy back into the southwest.
