Obs for Overnight Low Temperatures March 3rd-4th

Looking at surface observations, at 10 pm the highest readings in PA appear to be in Central PA, at the higher elevations. This is some cold dense air, so it will be interesting to see how low we can go.

Currently 10F here in Concord Township, up from 9F about a half an hour ago.

For some reason temps have bounced up a little compared to around midnight. It was 5° at ACY and now it is 7°.

Same here, more or less - actually it's the same now as it was at midnight: 9F. Looks like clouds came in and put a lid on the radiational cooling. This thread seemed like a good idea last night anyway.

Bit of as disappointment considering the potential. Was it clouds?

To an extent.  There was also some warm advection overnight aloft, not really strong, but perhaps enough.  Also, the high pressure wasn't directly overhead, but there also wasn't strong ongoing cold advection at the surface either... just a modest north to northwest flow, perhaps enough to prevent good inversions from setting up.
