Did the sleet ever make it to BNA? Heavy rain in n JC.

Sleet made it to the west/northwest of BNA.  Temps stalled out just west of BNA.  I live about 20 miles east of BNA and we got zilch, zip, nada.  Amazing.  Simply amazing how snake bit our area is when it comes to winter precip.

Shallow cloud deck, no multi-layer clouds, typically does that drizzle stuff. Water is super cooled, but clouds are below the level of air cold enough to generate snowflakes. Frustrating, I know.

It should be cold enough for snow but continue to receive freezing drizzle

Multi-layer clouds moving in. Yep, that is snow. Enjoy!

we'll see if this 25dbz band on the radar gets us something if it holds together, might be the most snow we got all winter

I have never seen such a bust prone area than the area around Nashville. 12z euro ensemble for Gallatin (run yesterday). I know the algorithm is screwed up, but from this model to the reality of a little sleet and zr.....really?? Even the non screwed up map from eurowx.com showed 5-8. Maybe it really is impossible to snow there?!?

Memphis got 2/3 of the way completely surrounded by freezing stuff last night.

I don't know what it is. Local mets are grasping at straws.

On this note, just heard that the Casinos in Tunica are on generator power. Memphis got almost zero ZR accretion and almost no sleet or snow accumulation.

Yea, I know it dropped to 32 about 7 last night; at around 9 we started accumulating freezing rain; then about 2 sleet started mixing in; then this am it was back to freezing drizzle; then about 30 minutes of snow this am
