Ian
A lot of the best runs didn't have cold moving in already. I'd like to say I'm not nervous but I'd be lying.

PhineasC
A lot of the best runs didn't have cold moving in already. I'd like to say I'm not nervous but I'd be lying. Yeah, I have been thinking the same thing all day. I don't think a big cold press today is what we wanted. What a gut punch it would be to be too cold for snow in freaking March. Only DCA could manage that.

RIC_WX
Midlo is taking our snow. Yeah, I remember all those times richmond had a crushing spring snow the day after 72*F readings...said no one ever.
PhineasC
Yeah, I remember all those times richmond had a crushing spring snow the day after 72*F readings...said no one ever. Be a shame if this storm wastes its precip dumping rain and melty sleet on DT.

PhineasC
Well, at least not much precip will be wasted on rain in northern MD. Already down to 37 here.
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
That would be something. We are good at finding new ways to bust. Also it would be particularly cruel because typically when we bust the nam is our last hope. The one time we need it to be wrong....

PhineasC
Just patiently waiting in the rain for the apparently bullseye being painted on CHO btw.. One of the funny things is that I bet the people up north who stayed cold today are expecting a bigger snowstorm while the folks down south who roasted are probably dismissing this thing entirely, despite what the models are saying. SomeguyfromTakomaPark
42 Even though this cold push may seem surprising I'm looking at the EURO 2m temps for 21z and they match up nicely with the surface observations, if anything the EURO has the freezing line a little further south than the observations are indicating.
