Curlyq
TV met said low pressure is moving SSE and will pull the snow line south. Radar shows one thing mets showing another. Anxious to see what plays out.
Ka60
Clarksburg steady moderate snow. 4.4", 4.3", 4.6" three different measurement on concrete surface not measuring on grass.
iambinarymind
Ballenger Creek area incoming. Incoming indeed. Ballenger Creek area near to 270/70 is looking beautiful. When I woke up at 600am I was saddened by what looked like we were going to be fringed. Thank goodness for these beautiful bands of snow setting up with temperatures below 20 degrees F now. snowfan
I'd be wary of relying on that. Most of those light blues are just flurries. The real stuff probably shuts off right after lunch. RAP keeps liking 3pm shutoff http://www.instantweathermaps.com/RAP-php/showmap-conussfc.php?run=2014030311&time=INSTANT&var=REFD&hour=009 and same hrrr (pun intended) http://rapidrefresh.noaa.gov/HRRR/displayMapLocalDiskDateDomainZip.cgi?keys=hrrr_jet:&runtime=2014030310&plot_type=1ref_t3sfc&fcst=10&time_inc=60&num_times=16&model=hrrr&ptitle=HRRR%20Model%20Fields%20-%20Experimental&maxFcstLen=15&fcstStrLen=-1&domain=t3&adtfn=

Jebman
the southern half of may land is where this storm is going to reside, I,m getting very fine snow that won't accumulate to diddly. I have already resigned to not even 6 in, Enjoy allIts hard to believe all the predictions for 6 to 10 here. This thing is sure not moving north. All the rates are in Frederiksburg or south and of course in Westminster. Every time someone farts in Maryland it snows winter storm warning criteria in WestminsterSent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
WVsnowlover
Ripping out right now. I imagine the roads are quite slick with the .10 or so coating of ice we got before the switch over to sleet and snow last night. Eyeballing between 3" to 4" of snow now. Huffwx
Dramatic flip here-- rain to sleet for 30 and then just snow now. Temp is 32. I was worried about sleet till 10, so I guess it's good. I had gone 4-8 think we get lower end of that.

mdurbin1234
Pretty disappointing. Barely an inch in Crofton (AAC) and nothing but pixy dust. But hey - March snow is March snow. To be expected.
T. August
17.9 with very small flakes falling. A little over 2" in an area affected by the wind. I'll have to go around later to get a good measurement.
BlizzardNole
Closing in on 4" here, and light snow picking back up a little as radar fills in a bit. Notice how the heavy, yellow energy-robbing echoes north of Richmond have faded a little -- I'm hoping that allows the radar to fill in and intensify right over DC.
