osfan24
I think Justin Berk's amazing run of predicting overperformers with each storm and nailing them is about to come to an end in a big way. This is going to be an epic bust of a forecast for him. His low end for most areas is going to by twice as much as what actually falls. I only have about an inch at this point and only expecting 3-4 more at most. Dry air is just eating away at the moisture.

gymengineer
Yeah, the rates are picking now and, as Matt said, the radar is filling in nicely across the northern tier of MD and we should get some heavy returns soon. An awesome scene anytime but hard to believe that it's March! Radar is sick for Carroll County.... As usual the northern edge is seeing heavy banding. BlizzardNole
Steady, light snow in Germantown; temp 24 (down 3 in an hour) Looks like 2.5" or so. This stuff is deceptive -- the intensity seems so light but it accumulates quickly. Interesting radar trend -- FredCo and Carroll back in it? nw baltimore wx
I do not remember snow this cold during the day in March, i am sure there has been but none that come to my memory. lol How often do we get a snowstorm and sub 20 degree temps any time of the year?!? snowfan
I think I'll stick with 3-6 and be comfy with that. Don't see anything that suggests higher will occur north of No VA. Hope I'm wrong. It is beautiful outside.

StudentOfClimatology
You wouldn't believe it's March walking outside. Temps plunging and powdery snow blowing around everywhere. I'm already satisfied with this storm.
ravensrule
lol How often do we get a snowstorm and sub 20 degree temps any time of the year?!? Not to often that is for sure. bdevil02
Small flakes, but coming down very heavy in Old Town. I only woke up at about 6:45, but looked like we switched from predominantly sleet to all snow at about 7.

Hes done Ok...he also had a bust though a few weeks ago with a clipper than came during the day, I cant recall the exact date but he had much of MD getting 2-4 and 3-6 inches, most only saw 1 inch so this will be bust #2 in my book. Regardless, light to mod snow right now probably 1.5 inches...shooting for 4" in Essex

winterymix
Banding in Reisterstown. Last hour, snow was talcum powder fine and light. This hour, larger flakes and intensity is light-moderate. Visibility estimated 2 to 3 miles. I guess we are "IN THE MEAT".
