Fullmug
I hear ya, been a colder winter down here but not really that snowy outside Feb 12-13. I know you've crushed it up there. You all got robbed a couple times before that one. i'd have to look at the numbers to be sure of this, but my memory is that anytime we end Jan with >20" our total for the winter comes in at more than double that. aldie 22
The plows are rolling by often...I'm guessing there is a nice layer of ice under the snow from the primer rain...shoveling will be a chore....sure would be a shame to miss a really cool event like this. It's one of those things. I'd say Richmond, Danville and Lynchburg triangle is only place on East Coast below normal. Barring a disaster, should be at climo by storms end. Decent winter to track at least, just not great results.

Curlyq
This is really a southern event. Here in Frederick we have snow but don't have to travel to far west or north to be out of snow.

nw baltimore wx
Light snow, blowing snow, 24. Closing in on an inch. I'm not sure if LWX will pull the trigger on blizzard warnings for anyone, but pretty sure that blizzard criteria will be met somewhere near the bay. snowfan
Radar may very well fill in, but current trajectory and short range guidance indicates DC is going to be on the northern fringe of the good stuff. Starting to look like this will be a 3-6 type of storm with the exception of those further south in VA.
