Gust to 59 mph at Charlevoix MI shows potential of the approaching system to create a squall line feature overnight with brief S+ outside the snow belts and long duration S+ across southern Ggn Bay, possible 40-80 cm snowfalls across Grey, Bruce and Simcoe counties overnight and tomorrow. Would time this squall line for about 10 pm London, 1130 pm K-W and midnight to 0100h Toronto.

Finally got home, holy f*ck. I left school at 4pm from downtown and I finally got home. Took me 4 hours, so mad! Driving is horrendous. The city is at a standstill.

About 8.2cm down in my area.

Amazing that 8cm (3") can bring Toronto to a standstill when you consider what Buffalo is getting. We Torontonians are so not prepared for winter. Toronto seems to live in constant denial that it's part of a country called Canada! :)

Toronto isn't constructed right and it can't even handle the smallest of weather extremes. If we got what Buffalo got, I dont even know what would happen to Toronto. People would think its an Ice age :lmao: . The fact that it snows every year for 6 months, and yet people still drive and act like its the first time its snowed is absurd.

Not bad considering the lame returns. WSW wind blowing off the land and still giving you LES.

Not sure if I can remember a setup like this with minor squalls parked over KW for days on end.

Squalls here right now as well. Love this pattern, shame to see it end. Probably my favourite November I can remember.

It's been really something special!

SNOW SQUALL WATCH
FOR SOUTHERN ONTARIO
UPDATED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA

AT 1:15 P.M. EST THURSDAY 20 NOVEMBER 2014.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
SNOW SQUALL WATCH FOR:

=NEW= LONDON - PARKHILL - EASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTY
=NEW= OXFORD - BRANT
=NEW= WATERLOO - WELLINGTON
=NEW= DUFFERIN - INNISFIL
      HURON - PERTH.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
==DISCUSSION==

WESTERLY WINDS OVER LAKE HURON ARE EXPECTED TO SHIFT TO
NORTHWESTERLY THIS EVENING BRINGING SNOW SQUALLS INTO THE AREA.

WHILE A FAIR AMOUNT OF BLOWING SNOW ALONG WITH BRIEF SNOWSQUALLS ARE
POSSIBLE TODAY IN THE STIFF WESTERLY FLOW, STRONGER SNOWSQUALLS MAY
DEVELOP THIS EVENING IN A STRONG NORTHWESTERLY FLOW OFF THE LAKE
TONIGHT. LATEST INDICATIONS ARE SUGGESTING SOME POTENTIAL FOR A SNOW

SQUALL TO LOCK IN OVER AREAS CLOSER TO LAKE HURON FOR A FEW HOURS
TONIGHT. IF THIS HAPPENS, LOCALLY HIGHER SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 30 CM
IN 6 TO 12 HOURS ALONG WITH SUSTAINED NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY IN THE

STRONGEST SNOW SQUALLS ARE QUITE POSSIBLE OVER HURON, PERTH,
MIDDLESEX AND OXFORD COUNTIES. LOCAL SNOW AMOUNTS OF 10-15 CM ARE
POSSIBLE ELSEWHERE.
