This storm was an excellent example of an over performer in the overall impact.

Very tough job for the NWS to nail it down until the last few hours....even tough for the best of the pros. Excellent test occurred last night for skills sets in analyzing the vertical column which is what it's all about.

For those of us in the utilities and communications business, massive damage into the millions occurred to get things back together in the Piedmont Counties over the worst hit areas in our service area.

Haha! I know what you mean.

Here's the Raleigh doppler rainfall estimate. Cool how it thinks there was over 12" of QPF in Caswell County. That zone just northeast of Fayetteville must be like the Waycross of NC or something.

Lol there is actually a town within that area named Waycross, NC.
